Company/Division: A totally separate company within a workspace, with its own set of groups/establishments. Administrators will need to be given access to any newly added company/divisions as they only inherently have access to the first one they were added to.

Long Term Group/Establishment: A location/division within the company that has a permanent address and has been active or will be active for a year or more. This will have its own separate OSHA log.

Example: ABC Company | New York Plant

  • NOTE: These locations require the entry of their physical address and NAICS or SIC number.

Short Term Group/Establishment: A location/group within the company that does not have a permanent address, yet functions as its own separate location. This will also have its own separate OSHA log.

Example: ABC Company | Short Term Work Location

Area: A sub-division of either a long- or short-term establishment. This is useful for breaking down larger departments into smaller areas, or locations into departments. Projects can have their own separate OSHA logs, but it is not required. Regardless of whether a project is set up to have its own OSHA log, all project recordables roll up to the parent group/establishment log.

Example: ABC Company | New York Plant | Shipping Department
