How to add a new employee to iReport

NOTE: Only administrators are able to add a new employee with the ability to log in.

  • If you are not an administrator and need an employee account added to the system, please contact one of your iReportSource administrators or the iReportSource support team.

  • We recommend contacting your iReport CSC if you are needing to add larger numbers of employees.

1. Login like normal and go in at the Company Level. From your home page, click on Employees (under General).

2. From the main Employee page, click the green button in the top right that says Add Employee.

3. A form will appear with fields to enter the information needed to create the new Employee.

  • REQUIRED FIELDS are identified by a red * to their left.

  • These Required Fields include:

    • Company Division (Dropdown list) (Your company's name)

    • Group/Establishment (Dropdown list) (The locations within your workspace)

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • EmployeeID (Most common as a string of letters and numbers, is a unique identifier)

    • Job Title

    • Employment Status (Full Time/Part Time/Seasonal etc)

    • Username (must be unique) (If the username is available, the field will turn green. If it turns Red, that username is in use with another employee)

    • Using Microsoft login (This can be set to N/A)

    • User Type (Reporter/Supervisor/Collaborator/Admin)

    • Activated or Deactivated

4. Once these fields are entered, click the green Submit button at the bottom. The form will submit and a banner will appear confirming the creation.

5. Your new employee has now been created.

  • If Activated and given an email, they will receive their Welcome! email shortly, which contains their username and temporary password.

  • If Activated without an email, you will need to supply them with their username and password. Please see this article here for information on resetting their password for the quickest and easiest way to do this.

  • If Deactivated, then you are all set to continue using the system. They are available were appropriate on drop down lists not requiring activated employees.
